The numerical control processing of the blowing mold has a certain typicality. During the processing of mold production, all kinds of CNC machining are useful. The most widely used are CNC milling and machining centers. The applications of CNC wire cutting and CNC EDM in mold NC machining are also very common. Wire cutting is mainly used in various applications, such as a kind of straight wall mold processing, or punching and embossing mold, making inserts or slider in the blow mold, electrode for EDM and so on. For mold parts with high hardness, machining methods cannot be used to process them. Most of them use EDM, and EDM is also used for sharp corners, deep cavity parts, and narrow grooves of mold cavities. The CNC lathes are mainly used for machining standard parts of mold rods, as well as mold cavities or cores for rotary bodies, such as bottles and pots, and forging molds for shafts and discs. In the mold processing, the application of CNC drilling can also play a role in improving the processing accuracy and shortening the processing cycle.

The blow mold is an important process equipment for producing various industrial products. With the rapid development of the plastics industry and the promotion and application of plastic products in the electronics, machinery, aerospace, marine and automotive industries, the requirement to blow mold is also getting higher and higher. The traditional mold design methods can no longer meet the lastest requirements. Comparing with the traditional mold design, computer-aided engineering (CAE) technology is still in terms of improving production efficiency and ensuring product quality. It has great advantages in reducing labor intensity and costs.
