A tubular plastic parison obtained by extrusion or a preform by injection molding of the thermoplastic resin is placed (or heated to a softened state and then placed)  in an open mold. Immediately after closing the mold, compressed air is blown into the parison(preform). Blowing up and tightly sticked to the inner wall of the mold, after the mold cooling off, the parison(preform) is formed with all kinds of hollow products. Blow molding method can be divided into extrusion blow molding and injection blow molding according to the production method. The newly developed method are multi-layer blow molding and stretch blow molding.

   The blow molding process began during the Second World War to produce small bottle of low-density polyethylene. In the late 1950s, with the appearance of high-density polyethylene and the development of blow molding machines, the blow molding technology was widely used. The volume of hollow containers can reach several thousand liters, and some production has adopted computer-aided control. Plastics suitable for blow molding include polyethylene terephthalate, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, polycarbonate, etc. The hollow containers are widely used as industrial packaging containers. At present, a large part of the blow-molding machine is still a two-step machine, that is, the plastic raw material must be made into a preform before it is blown. What is commonly used today is PET plastic bottle blowing material. The simplest and most understandable explanation for a bottle blowing machine is the machine that can blow up a properly preform by a certain process.
